Waykee connector for ChatGPT and Claude
The Waykee connector lets ChatGPT and Claude work with your Waykee projects: find and read tasks, conversations and documentation, answer questions about your work, and create or update items when you ask. It uses the open Model Context Protocol (MCP) and signs you in with OAuth, so the assistant never sees your Waykee password.

Before you start
- A Waykee account. You can request access at waykee.com.
- ChatGPT or Claude on web, desktop or mobile. Some ChatGPT and Claude plans limit connectors; check your plan's settings.
Connect in ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT and go to Settings → Apps (called Apps & Connectors in some versions).
- Search for Waykee and select Connect.
If it is not listed yet in your region or plan, you can add it manually: enable Developer mode under Advanced settings, choose Create, enter the server URL
https://wk2.waykee.com/mcpand choose OAuth authentication. - A Waykee window opens. Sign in and review the permissions, then select Allow.
- Back in ChatGPT, start a chat and ask something like "What tasks do I have due this week in Waykee?". On mobile, the connector also works in voice mode.
Connect in Claude
- Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
- Find Waykee in the directory and select Connect. Or select Add custom connector, name it Waykee and enter
https://wk2.waykee.com/mcp. - Sign in to Waykee in the window that opens and select Allow.
- In a chat, enable Waykee from the tools menu and ask, for example, "Summarize the latest messages in my Waykee project."
What you can do
The assistant only sees and changes what your Waykee account is allowed to see and change. Tools that create or change data run only when you ask, and ChatGPT and Claude ask for your confirmation before running them.
| Area | Tools | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Tasks | SearchTasks, GetTaskDetails, CreateTask, UpdateTask | Read and write; UpdateTask overwrites task fields |
| Conversations | GetConversations, GetMessages, SendMessage | Read and write |
| Documentation | SearchDocumentation, GetDocumentation, GetRelations, CreateDocumentation, UpdateDocumentation | Read and write; UpdateDocumentation overwrites the document |
| Search | RagSearch | Read only |
| Questions | GetPendingQuestions | Read only |
| Catalogs and dashboard | GetStatuses, GetWaykeeTypes, GetDashboard | Read only |
The connector never returns passwords, API keys or stored secrets.
Example prompts
- "Find my open Waykee tasks about the mobile app and tell me which are overdue."
- "Read the conversation in task 1234 and summarize what is blocked."
- "Create a Waykee task called 'Review Q4 budget' due next Friday."
- "Post a message in task 1234 saying the review is done."
Disconnect and revoke access
- From Waykee: open Connected apps (your user menu → Connected apps). It lists every assistant you authorized, when you authorized it, when it was last used and its scopes; Revoke cuts its access immediately and is logged.
- ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Waykee → Disconnect.
- Claude: Settings → Connectors → Waykee → Disconnect (or remove the custom connector).
- Access tokens expire after 1 hour and the connection ends on its own after 90 days at most. If you cannot sign in to Waykee, to revoke every connection to your account email support@powerera.com from your account's email address.
Troubleshooting
- The sign-in window says the account cannot authorize: sign in with a personal Waykee user account. Bot and service accounts cannot authorize the connector.
- "Unauthorized" or the assistant stops seeing Waykee: your connection expired or was revoked. Disconnect and connect again.
- The assistant can't find an item: you may not have access to it in Waykee. Ask the project owner to add you.
